Costing methodology workshop

DIRUM will feature at a forthcoming MRC costing methodology workshop to be held on the 10th October.

The location will be: St. Catherine’s College, Manor Road, University of Oxford, Oxford OX1 3UJ

The workshop objectives are:

  • To raise awareness of work that is being done in costing methodology research;
  • To facilitate collaboration between groups undertaking similar methodology;
  • To learn about how NHS cost data are collected across the UK;
  • To discuss best practice and identify future research requirements in costing methodology.

The workshop is funded by MRC Hubs for Trials Methodology Research.

The workshop is a presentation style format with accepted abstracts being presented by their authors.

If interested in presenting, please submit a 250 word abstract to HERC by Friday 26 July 2013, with 'costing workshop abstract' in the subject line, abstract attached as a Word or pdf file and including authors' names and affiliations.

Authors of abstracts will be informed of the outcome of their submission in early August. If you have questions relating to the abstracts or content of the workshop, please contact Dr Sarah Wordsworth, email or phone 01865 289268.

Registration for the workshop will open in August. Attendance will be limited to 50 participants, with two places being reserved for members of each MRC Hub. Attendance is free, and travel and accommodation expenses may be reimbursed for members of MRC Hubs. Presenting authors will be able to claim travel expenses.
