Introducing the new Pathway RUM

Anxiety and depression are prevalent among cardiac rehabilitation patients but pharmacological and psychological treatments have limited effectiveness in this group. The PATHWAY Group-MCT trial  aims to evaluate the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of group-based metacognitive therapy for cardiac rehabilitation patients with elevated anxiety and/or depressive symptoms. Economic evaluation is embedded within the trial. This measure has been designed to collect participants’ use of inpatient and outpatient services and data on non-hospital-based health and social care use at all assessment points, which will inform the economic evaluation.
